An interdisciplinary field- assumes that health and wellness caused by a complex interaction. Neo-freudian interested in the relationship between personality and health. Suggest serval models for this relationship: first model suggested that certain personality types were linked with certain illnesses-ex- ulcer-prone personality, personality- had a unique definition for alexander. Basically, the type of defence mechanisms a person tended to use. Model 1- personality type-> specific illness -> early literature focused on a number of very specific illnesses ex- ulcers, asthma and hypertension. Each illness was associated with a particular personality pattern. It did(cid:374)"t take lo(cid:374)g for a pro(cid:271)le(cid:373) to appear (cid:449)ithi(cid:374) other (cid:373)odel. Not e(cid:448)er(cid:455)o(cid:374)e (cid:449)ith a particular personality type developed the illness. Model 2- personality type- organ inferiority specific illness. The problem with this: the personality structure existed since early in the individuals life. Organ vulnerability would have to have existed since early on.
