To put a sentence into standard form for categorical propositions: identify the subject & predicate terms, if necessary, rephrase the s & p terms so that they refer to classes, decide on a quantifier: all, some, or no. Foolish is the man who seeks fame for its own sake . All men who seek fame are foolish people. Maps out logical relationships between the 4 standard forms. Propositions that cannot both be true but could both be false. Contradictory- propositions that cannot both be true and cannot both be false. Subalternates- x logically implies y but y does not logically imply x. x= beyonce is in peterborough, ontario y= beyonce is in canada right now.
