The process by which scientist, collectively and over time, endeavor to construct an accurate representation of the world. The scientific method attempts to minimize the influence of bias or prejudice in the experimenters when testing a hypothesis: identification of problem, formulate a hypothesis, form predictions, data collection and analysis, interpretation and conclusion. The circular process of getting closer to the truth. No such thing of eliminating all bias. Subconscious sometimes forces you to be bias, due to environment and memories while growing up. Not trying to prove someone did the crime more like they did it. Scientists should be disinterested observers (to be unbiased) Multiple observations lead to e(cid:373)ergi(cid:374)g patter(cid:374)s that (cid:272)a(cid:374) pro(cid:448)ide (cid:862)truths a(cid:271)out (cid:374)ature(cid:863) However: our framework of knowledge fundamentally affects what we choose to do, how we do it and how we interpret it. Biases must be recognized and taken into account as much as possible.
