While fighting and feeding, vampires change their appearance, especially faces and mouths. They die with direct sunlight, fire, beheading, stake through the heart. They do not like garlic, crosses and holy water. Article dealt with high school is hell. Viewers often project onto characters, and so seeing buffy and her friends tackle their problems encourages teens. Important topics grades, relationships, temptations, humiliation, alienation, confusion, social pressures and anxieties. High school located near a cemetery that is the gateway to hell. School is situated on the hellmouth portal to the netherworld where all the vampires and monsters reside. Monsters do not age and they do not have souls, hence no development. There was a good economy at the time of the release of buffy.
