o FLQ bombings in 1960s
o Air India bombing 1985
o Plotted bombing in Montreal - later bombing in LA
o Omar Khadr captured in Afghanistan, 15 year old Canadian, held for 10 years in
Cuba
• Consequences of global actions come with great risk
o the people who complete these acts are not psychopaths, which makes people
more fearful. they are stable, well-adjusted individuals capable
of inflicting serious harm

• Operation Yellow Ribbon
• 30 aircraft diverted to Gander, 6,500 people landed in Gander, diverted due to the 9/11
attacks

• any organization could be deemed illegal at any time - and membership in such groups is
