Biol 1020h: current issues in biology, i. Module 7 notes for exam. Chapter 22: descent with modification, a darwinian view of life. This theory is arguably the most important one in biology. It has shaped much of how we view biology and conduct our research. List and describe the main lines of scientific evidence that support the theory of evolution. Explain why the criticism evolution is just a theory should not be accepted as a dismissal of this theory. Although widely used, it is remarkable how many people use it incorrectly. These two terms are always either italicized or, if italics are not possible (e. g. when handwritten), underlined. It is interesting to consider how our beliefs may be reported in a textbook 100 years from now. We will undoubtedly be right about some things, but quite wrong about others. This section ends with a brief discussion about lamarck"s hypothesis of evolution.
