Today we see rapid social change, particularly technology: social change affects us in at least three areas of our lives: the material, the social, and the intellectual. Change is always good is criticized because it is not always good, such as technological development meant more pollution, and more exploitation of third world countries. Most people are exposed to stress as we have to do everything fast. Noam chomsky has argued that modernism has a narrow vision stating whatever innovation benefits the dominant class is justifiable as progress: we assume that everyone has access to computers. However, lower class may not have access to computer.
