Doesn"t need to emphasize gender = default, normal individual. Allow us to think our interaction with world is more on individual. Doesn"t have to worry about group concern burden. Feels like an individual ideology of the world is individual. No capacity to fix, your job to fix ur problems. We hope others to be responsible for own actions. Focus on individual solution, ignore situational, group-based individual difference recreating higher incentive/ privileges for least burden. Hard to see b/c that"s how we build our world based on individualism = invisibility. Social comparisons: with people who are in the same or above. Determine outcomes, how good/ bad i"m being treated. Surrounding all get same or better treatment unaware.
