The three-door problem = imagine you are a contestant on a game show and behaving a door is a grand prize and you have to chose it. You choose door number 2 and the game show host opens door number 1 to say its not behind that door. Then the host asks if you want to keep your door or change to number three. Most people say it doesn"t matter because chances are the same. But, do you remember how or why you believe that, this is due to the way we obtain knowledge (and how accurate that is) The sources of knowledge = reason, authority, tenacity, empiricism, superstition. Tenacity = believing in something that is continuously repeated. However, a problem arises when we nd even 1 7 year old child that can not ride a bike. Reason alone is not suf cient enough to acquire knowledge about a topic. Authority = believing someone because they supposedly have higher power.
