Perfect(always in efect) and imperfect(only act on some imes) A good will- a faculty of mind a good will is a will that acts out of respect for the moral law. Good will-acts on moral law, because of the moral law, you do it because it is the right thing to do. Moivaions determine if you have a good will. Moivated by selinterest, inclinaion, it"s the right thing todo. Even if u act correctly u might have done it in self interest and that"s bad moive therefore not good will. If do it out of love then u do it out of inclinaion so therefore no worth. It has to be this moral obligaion, only acing on moral value. Kant doesn"t want love to be inluencing ur behaviour. Love and self interest can not garuntee you have a good will. Knowing this is the right thing todo, then doing that thing, only thing that gives u good will.
