Glaucon- rejects the idea that virtue/goodness is inherently rewarding. Psychological egoism- you only do things, if it benefits you. Ethical egoism: you ought to pursue your best interest. You (cid:272)a(cid:374)"t (cid:271)e selfish if you (cid:449)ant to get something to someone else because you would like it to them. This version is not the good, go to 2: you are selfish if what you are doing makes you feel good/sense of self , that is just what being unselfish is, gets human psychology backward.
