Its a free city in the sense that ppl can decide what they put out there. Not protected or safe or necessarily clean or sanitary. Not a place you would want to live as somebody with wealth or property class. Marx says the working class is de ned by what they do not have - property. They have to sell their labour without a wage. They cannot have attain money without giving something. The other side is people who have property- Claim over history, ability to talk in a way that you are recognized as power (such as speaking english) colonialism. Corbusier is one of the fathers of modernist architecture. Hitchcock and johnson hold an exhibition on modern art.
