Pithers: theory that all sexual offenders committed assault same way and negative emotions were felt before acting. But we realize that this is not true. Sexual aggression of adult women (proulx & beauregard, 2009) Several typologies of sexual aggressors of women have been identified over the years. However, when analyzing these typologies, only 4 main types of sexual aggressors of women emerge: sadistic, angry, opportunistic, compensatory, sadistic sex offenders. Media over-represent this type of offender, but it is actually only a minority of sex offences.
