It guarantees fundamental freedoms, legal, and equality rights for all ciizens. Provides protecion for individuals and ensures fairness during legal proceedings. All components of cjs must conirm to the charter. Act or omission prohibited by criminal law with no legal defence. Establishes the rules police, courts, and correcions must follow.
