Is an aversive internal state of arousal. Aggression is a consequence of an individual trying to reduce frustraion. 3 steps: person blocked from obtaining goal. Frustraion results, leading to anger: anger predisposes person to aggress, depends on history, interpretaion of event, aggression-eliciing simuli (e. g. weapons efect) Arousal from one situaion can be transferred to another situaion.
