Ex. having nurturing parents, high quality educaion, safe: we want to intervene on negaive pathways neighbourhoods. People with poverty are more likely to become vicims and ofenders of crime. Poverty goes hand in hand with discriminaion, overcrowded living condiion, unemployment, etc (not just no money) Poverty = inadequate school = drop out = watch unsafe acions in neighbourhood = carry irearm, etc. It might just be that poverty is related to other risk factors. Children that come from poverty are more likely to be targeted from police that people from good backgrounds. Adds addiional stressors: takes lot less energy to just spank a ime than taking ime to talk to their child.
