Understanding crime in canada: an introducion to criminology. Studying human geneics can be diicult from an ethical, numerical, and biological perspecive. Good scieniic studies require a large number of idenical research subjects. Cannot (ethically or legally) clone idenical human beings for use as research subjects. Even large scale studies (e. g. , drug trials) are inluenced by biological factors and environmental factors. Clones do exist, in the form of twins. Dizygoic (dz) twins result from two sperm ferilizing two eggs ( no more geneically similar than any other pair of full siblings ) Monozygoic (mz) twins result from single sperm ferilizing single egg, which then cleaves and becomes two separate zygotes ( two geneically idenical babies ) Mz (monozygoic) twins: result from single sperm ferilizing single egg (two geneically idenical babies, share 100% of the 1% of dna that explains variaion in characterisics.
