When someone is personally afected by a crime, it becomes important to them. Bystander efect- reluctance to report crimes: become personally responsible, someone else will do it . Criminology is a philosophy about crime: who causes it, who commits it, who is victimized by it, how often it occurs, it"s social impacts, what should be done by it. Those who cause crime are commonly those who experience it. A scientiic study of human behavior, crime causation, crime prevention and punishment, and rehabilitation of ofenders. Includes: making laws, breaking laws, reaction to the breaking of laws. What is crime: an act which is prohibited, based in law (punishable by law, based on moral values, social convention, behavioral consequences.
