An issue with given agency, but culture greatly affected by technological devices. this is technological determinism, where technology is given agency. Technology is invented by accident, but this innovation changed the world/family life/etc. forever another slight variation is that people are. Tech determinism also has the (cid:494)great man theory(cid:495) focusing on those who invented the devices (ex: always here about thomas edison apparently invented the light bulb when he really just owned the patent). It ignores the industrial and economical nature of technology, and we need to look at this for television.
