Media plays a key part in the construction and matiencence for poli and econ power. It can be a tool for keeping that power in check or even over turning it. Knowing how and why the media is the way that is is allows us to more effectively intervene within it. Not having an opinion or a political perspective on the media is unforgivable in a media- saturated world.
