Diferent selves or representaions of themselves have been created due to social media. The story you tell to your parents oten is not the same story that you would tell your friends. Not lying, but we simply are not the same person in one seing as we are in another seing. Why are we the way that we are? (metaphysical quesions) There is a diference between being and having. Most people say they are a self, they prove this by poining at their bodies which suggests that the idenity is viewed in the idea of a body. The quesion of the self is the body is intractable, cannot be answered. Idea of the self is like music/composiion, take memories and anicipaions into a certain moment. Ancient greeks were considered with this, found the soluion in the form of the. Soul. believed we are animated by an ancient power. Self is never isolated, always a response to others.
