Second was very exclusionary, they were arguing about stand point theory. That everyone shared their same experience from that same stand point. Recognized that there is multiple subjectivists, experiences, that each one is valid, deserved recognition, and should be tackled. Second wave resistance changing laws and policies, getting laws made ex. abortion laws, martial rape laws. Didn"t recognize individual resistance it had be organized and institutional. Thought change could only be mad through institutions. Fourth wave uses social media: third wave resistance, law. Can"t use the law to change patriarchy when the law is based in patriarchy. They know its impossible to make existing change within the system. What people do in their daily lives is what makes real change: pornography + sex work. 2nd wave demonized sex work, saw it as being male violence against women. Thought that sex work wasn"t chosen but forced through a patriarchal system. But when you make choices you are aware of the consequences.
