Conservative ideology: women should have no right (education, health, etc, want to keep women locked up in an abusive relationship. Didn"t want to give women right to vote because then women would leave: authority. (cid:883)(cid:890)(cid:890)(cid:882)"s-(cid:883)(cid:891)(cid:884)(cid:882)"s: named after suffrage the boat, (cid:883)(cid:890)(cid:890)(cid:882)"s men could vote. Also had no legal or social rights (no back account, no right to own property, if they worked the pay would go to the father, or husband) No financial power, or able to make health decisions: husband decides the care you get if ill. Minorities could not: first in the uk, then us, then can. Women got the right around the same time. They are the first women who have time on their hands. Boys were not able to work in paid labor until age 12, girls age 14, women were not able to work more than 6 days a week/ 10 hours. Thought it was unhealthy to be working below those ages.
