Average years of schooling has increased and drop out rates have lowered. Parents education, income, and occupation are related to children"s school success. Your more likely to attend university if at least one of your parents have, and less likely if your parents haven"t even finished high school. If your higher up in the socio economic gradient which the higher you go has people with income, education, and wealth, the more the children attain higher levels of education. Working class children have lower innate intelligence then middle class children. Casual linkage: the effect of socio economic level attainment matters. Robust: strong about different measures of education and schooling, and about socio economic status or social class. Persists: exists in all industrial countries and has endured through time. Kids who were from more affluent backgrounds were more likely to have. Readiness to learn in school then those who did not.
