Thomson"s deiniion describes a material relaionship between the wealth-generaing structures of society. Refers to the process by which the set of values and beliefs that bind individuals together in a society become naturalized . Values of a society are the outcome of history. The concept of having a set of norms followed because that"s the right thing to do . An ideal from the 19th century in which the middle class wanted to have control and impact on the working class. Police forces were beginning to be put into place in atempts to keep the behaviour of populaion in balance. Regulaions against blood sports and street games were enforced.
