That your mind can have quality: the promise of sociological imagination for anyone is that you can sort of use your imagination. Its not that you have to think more. Its just that you have to think with quality to understand these relations or connections. Analogy: a very useful way to help us understand the individual personal level of experiencing some kind f trouble. Imagination: a fancy thing that takes us from reality. Sociological imagination: making a connection between the individual or the biography with larger social systems or history, we can understand the individual through the social systems, dynamic relationship, not a one way relationship. Troubles vs issues: one of the most important parts of sociological imagination. Troubles: mills uses it for private matters, to characterize it we would go down to one person.
