Learning is grounded by the idea of behaviourism. Ivan pavloc (actually a physiologist, not a psychologist) and his dogs. Pairing food and bell and dog thinks now that bell = food. Little albert exposed to rat and noise to illicit crying because he was scared. He wasn"t scared of the rat at the beginning though. He learned that noise and rat were associated. He was exposed to the rat with the absence of the noise and still made the associated response. He did not develop rat phobia later in life. Compare the amount of drool just before given the food and after the food is given (before ucr and after cr) Food = drool and bell = drool but the outcome might not be the same. Ucr is stronger because it is a natural/automatic reflex response. *exam questions based on identifying these four terms and how to use them.
