Relationship people adopt to culture industry and the socio-political relationship benefits received by funders are one and the same. It makes a difference only to the people owning the platform. Social media keeps people divided, gullible (ie. fake news) in order to maintain power. No conspiracy, but just tendency of people to think and work for their own self-interest (socio-economically etc. ) Socio-economic, cultural, historical aspect needs to be taken into account when looking at film industry. Understanding in strongest possible terms leads to better critical thinking (for or against) Set of half-truths invented to maintain the status-quo of high power society (privilege)
