Formed in response and reaction to the horrors of war and was a statement against the war. There was so much death and destruction during this war. They were disillusioned by governments, who they blamed for the enormous destruction caused by the war 12 million people were killed, It was mass industrialized death, due to all the new advancements in technological warfare.
