Synergy is defined as a positive force that occurs in groups when group members stimulate new or better solutions through the process of mutual influence and encouragement. While team effectiveness is defined as when a team survives, meets its objectives, and the needs of its members are satisfied to the extent that they would be willing to work together again (sniderman et al. , 2010, p. 562). Joe must now sit down and figure out a way to remedy the lack of both in his workforce. He must evaluate his options and figure out a way to build team unity through various ob theories.
