Document Summary
Linear equations: linear equation y=ax+b, there are different ways to write equations for straight line. It can also be written as: y=cx+d, or ax+by+c=0, linear equations can be solved using substitution and elimination. A= (cid:4690)(cid:1853) (cid:1854)(cid:1856) (cid:1857)(cid:4691) row b= [(cid:1855)(cid:1858) ] row c=[(cid:1876)(cid:1877)] row. Protip : column is verticle and rows are horizontal. Matrices: matrices are classified in terms of the number and columns they have. The m is the rows and n is the column. Protip: remember that row comes before column in the equation. Because there are 2 rows and two columns. Equation= mxn for b is 2x1 as there are two rows and one column. Remember that you read that row is horizontal and column is verticle. So the matrix will be written as 2x3 as in the equation the row always comes first. Ai,j i is row and j is column. The equations for a row matrix is always 1x blank.
