All you hear about someone becomes your single story of them. Feel sorry for them before you even meet them default position/ stereotype. Show people as one thing, over and over again, and that is what they become: definitive story of that person. Single stories create stereotypes untrue and incomplete(cid:582)need more than one story: robs dignity of people, emphasizes how we are different instead of similar.
