Tourism is not just people sightseeing, visiting friends, and taking a vacation. But also people who are participating in a convention a business conference, study tour or research. They use all forms of transportation when they take a trip and thus engaging in tourism. The gov. plays a role in tourism policy, development, promotion and implementation: the host community: locals see tourism as cultural and employment factor. Tourism is the entire world industry that serve the needs and wants of travellers and deliver a travel experience: transportation, accommodations, food and beverage establishments, shops, entertainment, activity facilities etc. Tourism comprises the activities of persons travelling to and staying in places outside their usual environment for not more than one consecutive year. Usual environment means non-routine, so things you do not do usually, in a place where you do not live, etc. Internal tourism: visits by residents & non-residents of the country of reference.
