Document Summary

The first americans: what were the major patterns of native american life in north. Settlers - native americans: they were a culturally diverse group, came across the bering straits into america. This particular trek was during the ice age and after that, they later developed agricultural systems, and civilizations. Americans were so diverse even before europeans came over: there were indian societies of the americas [there was a gap between them and technology especially in comparison to europeans (that had gun powder, etc. ) Europeans had also wiped these indians out by disease)], they were mound builders [(they built temple like structures and had cities that were quite big)] ): they had a native american religion that had a hierarchy and a single creator at the top. But there were no authoritative religious figures; it was unlike european religions. They also did not treat land and property as a commodity.
