Macadamized roads still used to this day, quite commonly in southern ontario. Roads would be made up of layers of stones. The more the roads were used the more the road hardened, making it more efficient. Also cut costs and time for longer travel ventures. Water transportation: primary way people got from a to b. Canoes became the classic way of traveling in water.
