Analytics: systematic gathering and processing of data to make informed decisions. Timely: information is available when needed, meet deadlines. High quality: information is accurate and reliable, can be used with confidence. Complete: information is complete and sufficient for task at hand, current/updated. Understandable: clear & easily understood by the user, free from unnecessary detail. Internal and external information needs of an organization. Secret information about an enemy (or potential enemy). For an organization, intelligence information is the information in the external environment. Managers use this intelligence information to deal with customers, competitors, suppliers and other stakeholders. If you want to be successful in the marketplace, you have to see and understand what is happening outside of your organization.
