Biggest challenge with transportation is funding: without funding, the best ideas cannot be implemented, the culprits are federal and provincial govt, when it comes to municipality, do(cid:374)"t (cid:271)la(cid:373)e the(cid:373) for tra(cid:374)sportatio(cid:374) (cid:271)e(cid:272)ause the(cid:455) do(cid:374)"t have money. Blame them for their focus on their area only. We cannot blame these mayors because they are elected for those areas. You cannot just divide it into small pieces of the puzzle. Every piece is important for the whole but by itself, it is useless. We need to figure out how to integrate and move beyond this political pettiness. Gtsb was disbanded in 2001: gtsb replaced by gtta in 2006, metrolinx created in 2006 as gtta but renamed in 2007. It"s a step for(cid:449)ard (cid:271)ut (cid:374)ot the solutio(cid:374) Goal was to represent transportation for the whole region. We need to provide further incentive to have better transportation.
