Wolves have been able to sustain pop bc of rodents. Peary caribou - smaller and live on the arctic islands. Crash even further than dieback due to ice storm. Form circle to protect young; good against wolves, bad against hunters. Problem: large die-off recently on victoria island and banks island due to bacterial infection. More sightings in cape bounty now bc: used to humans. As climate warms, treeline and species move north. 2 years later - hunter shot what he thought was polar bear but dna analysis revealed it. 2 years later - hunter shot what he thought was polar bear but dna analysis revealed it to be a grolar bear = grizzly male x polar female. In winter, follows polar bear on sea ice to eat some of the seal.
