Food has many hazards that we know about, we assume them happily and those we don"t know about: a source of pleasure and peril, everyone has become ill from eating something. Experts believe that 25-30% in north america suffer from food poisoning each year. In the usa, about 75-80 million get food poisoning each year. In the usa, 5000 get killed from food poisoning a year. The rate is higher in the usa > uk. Food poisoning in france is < than uk, usa, ca. On an average day, the number of 800,000 americans get food poisoning every day. Everyone will have at least 1 sickness related to food they eat over a year (virus, bacteria, toxin) In the usa department of agriculture, they said that meat sold in markets declared that many pathogens are normal (you cannot eliminate them), and food contains pathogens for the most part. 80% of meat contain bacteria resistant to antibiotic (given to farm animals)
