Small intestine water soluble fit directly in blood. Large intestine bacteria make some vit some are absorbed. Vit must be absorbed by body to perform their function. Water soluble vit need transport molecules/ specific molecules in gi tract. Some absorbed in inactivate provitamin or vit precursor form must be activated.
