Document Summary
Primarily we are working with ontario building code (obc) part 8. The minimum requirement must be adhered to size and location. A permit must be approved by proper authorities before construction. Sewage system is also considered a building. Remember, a permit must be issued before any work is done on the building. Not responsible for: site evaluation, percolation, test or design of a sewage system (ss), and should not be involved in the task. Should only be involved in inspection and approval process. Septic tank is always full (same amount enter into the tank and the same amount exits outside of the tank) The receiving soil, the effluent is treated here. Remaining minerals and soils are filtered within the soil. Effluent has to pass unsaturated soil mass. It"s important to have unsaturated soil (9 metres) The soil beneath the topsoil (2 to 3 ft) will have active microorganism. Method to observe the subsoil profile has to be 1. 5 m deep.
