We learn about oppression but don"t learn how to actually work with people who are oppressed and help them; this class has helped with that. It is often seen as something of the past. Race is a major impact for many people. Privilege and oppression; living in the same person, you can be both at the same time, you can be a white person and still be oppressed which is a starting point. Bringing up racism within people that we love. The idea that we ourselves may be racist; we all have that potential, the ideas within.
