Criminologists agree that spending more money on the criminal justice system does not work. 9 billion dollars pumped into prisons versus economy and jobs. G20 summit 1000 people being arrested, to 6 being arrested. 4 years isolated confinement imprisonment of an indigenous man, but cannot do that in your basement. 1) media presents a distorted view in the event of violent crimes. 2) the distortion of the legal system there is not a story congratulating people finishing. Do not provide social context with crime and emphasis the crime in itself and not background knowledge. Media can be good: revealed government policy changes from public sidewalks to public works which allows police to arrest people trespassing at g20 summit. There is overlap between these research items. The difference between these is not about who writes it, it is about the audience and the process/ practice of writing in producing these documents.
