Our system nowadays is majorly influenced by economic incentives, romantic view point would cause trouble in today"s society o. Money plays an important role in the arts. The economic realm is an integral part of the world of arts. Institutions and practices concerned with coordination and regulation. Elites had power to create what they wanted. Economic power: ability to control production, distribution, prices, markets and work etc. Whoever pays for the art has a large say in what it looks like. Coercive power: wield the threat of force. Symbolic and cultural power: ability to influence the reception of symbolic forms.
