When you"re measuring things, you can take a look at information in many different ways, these are 4 different ways. (in simplest to complicated) E. g. name different countries, there is no order to just give the names of the countries. Same with student names: no order to these categories. Ordinal: order, putting things in order. E. g. finishing position in a foot race (1st, 2nd, 3rd: you know the order they finished but you do not know the time gaps between the finishers. 1st person finished in 5 minutes, 2nd in 5. 10, 3rd in 6 mins but dk.
