Raionalism: the pursuit of truth through reason and logic, can"t answer a lot of quesions with raionalism, you need empiricism too. Discovered that physical and sensory magnitudes were not equivalent: ie: why grocery bags feel heavier as you walk further to get to your car. Structuralists would focus on elemental components of an apple. They would say you didn"t perceive an apple, you perceive redness, roundness, sweetness. All these elemental sensaions put together is what is meant by perceiving an apple . Science: process or method, a way of asking and answering quesions, cause- to mean a phenomenon of interest occurs if and only the cause is present.
