Brightness: describe the visual system from eye to cortex. Cornea: transparent covering of the eye, responsible for bringing light into eye and also acts as a lens to focus light, shape of the cornea can"t change, only one focus is possible. Pupil: the opening in the middle of your iris that admits light, allowing it to hit the back of the eye (the retina, changes size to increase or decrease the amount of light entering the eye. Lens: transparent structure located behind the pupil, changes its shape through the action of muscles, lens becomes more curved to focus on close items less curved to focus on far items, this change is called accommodation.
