Week 7, lecture 2: 1990s- the concept of globalization as an academic concept was relatively new, the technology that has come from globalization has altered the way global politics can affect our day to day lives. Jobs being more or less secure/ impacted by the fact that resources from around the globe are becoming more and more accessible in canada. Used to be extremely rare to travel/ stray from home now advanced mobility: how to you conceptualize the individual in a process that is highly global, 1996- 50 years after the end of ww2. States were using the apparatus of the state to get rid of enemies during the war: america vs. japan. A very black and white vision of the world some states are good, some are bad some are progressive, some are evil.
