Document Summary

The circulatory system has many names like cardiovascular system and the vascular system. Its main purpose is to transfer nutrients, hormones, oxygen, carbon dioxide, and blood cells in and out of cells and to remove waste form the blood. Hemodynamic is the study of blood flow. Hermorheology is the study of the properties of the blood flow. The circulatory system is split up into two more systems: the cardiovascular system, and the lymphatic system. The expected time for a red blood cell to live is 4 months which the blood cell spends time feeding other cells in the body. It takes a red blood cell 20 seconds to travel around to whole body. Red cells go around the body about 250,000 times before dying where they were born (in the bone marrow) In a small droplet of blood, there"s approximately 5 million red blood cells. In a second, 8 million blood cells die, but the same amount is born.
