How we provide feedback and how much we give is important. Aside from practice, feedback, instruction may be single most important factor that influences ml and performance. Learning alters (cid:272)apa(cid:271)ility for perfor(cid:373)a(cid:374)(cid:272)e (cid:271)ut is(cid:374)"t o(cid:374)ly fa(cid:272)tor. Complex system of sensory feedback: exteroception (visual most dominant form) and proprioception. Closed-loop system: control using visual or proprioceptive feedback from motor periphery to correct errors that arise during ongoing actions. Info about mvt patterns and outcomes that learner can use to guide future mvt. Intrinsic/ inherent feedback: sensory info arising as natural consequence of generating motor action including proprioceptive and exteroceptive sources of sensory info. Augmented/ extrinsic feedback: additional info about measured outcome that is fed back to learner by artificial means coming from external sources and augments intrinsic. Provides info to correct errors and focus attention. Kr can be redundant or not redundant of outcome. Kr: augmented info about success (yes/no) or degree of success of action relative to goal of task.
